Lewisham hijackers on the loose

The men fled the scene with a Mercedes Benz, R2 000 in cash and a cellphone.

The Krugersdorp Police is on the lookout for two men last seen in the Lewisham area responsible for a hijacking and robbery.

According to Krugersdorp SAPS spokesperson Tshepiso Mashale the two men fled the scene of a hijacking on Wednesday 23 April at approximately 11.55am after forcing the driver of a Mercedes Benz E280 with registration FJP345GP from his car at gunpoint.

Items stolen include a cellphone and R2 000 in cash.

Police received information that the car was travelling in the direction of Kagiso informal settlement just after the crime took place.

Eyewitnesses and members of the public who might have any information pertaining to the case are urged to contact the Krugersdorp Police Station on 011 951 1111.
