A man in his thirties died on impact after a fatal collision on the N14 just behind the Krugersdorp Game Reserve at about 1.30pm this afternoon 14 February.
Gerhardt Nieuwoudt, the Commanding Officer of the West Rand District Municipality Emergency Services confirmed the incident where a man was trapped in his van.
“A truck crashed into a delivery van and the driver of the delivery van sustained serious injuries.” He says police, paramedics and officials of the Mogale City Traffic Department are on the scene.
ER24 paramedics arrived to find the van torn to shreds.
“The accident scene will be cleared shortly, we are just waiting for the police photographer,” says Nieuwoudt.
The driver of the truck sustained no injuries.
Local authorities were on scene to conduct the necessary investigations.
