Motorcyclist (37) killed in Mindalore

When paramedics arrived on the scene they found that his condition deteriorated.

A 37-year-old motorcyclist was killed on 28 December when his bike collided with a light motor vehicle on Ontdekkers Road and Kloof Street in Mindalore, Krugersdorp.

Werner Vermaak, an ER24 spokesperson says that when paramedics arrived after 1pm they found that the motorcyclist was lying a few meters from his motorbike.

“Upon assessment they found that the he was in a critical condition and required advanced life support intervention. While paramedics were busy on the scene trying to stabilise him, his condition deteriorated.”

Vermaak says that they immediately attempted to resuscitate him.

“Sadly despite the efforts of the paramedics he succumbed to his injuries on scene.”

The driver of the light motor vehicle was assessed on scene and found to have sustained only minor injuries. She was later transported to a nearby hospital for observation.

The exact cause of the collision is not yet known. The incident was handed over to the local Mogale City authorities.
