On 9 September at about 2pm the body of a man was found dead in his bedroom by his 22-year-old daughter in Kagiso Extension 12.
The South African Police Service received a complaint of murder through a concerned neighbour and proceeded to the given address.
Warrant Officer Solomon Sibiya says that upon arrival, the police found the complainant (neighbour) who told them that he was alerted by his neighbour’s daughter after she noticed blood outside her father’s bedroom.
“They proceeded into the house where the body of the man was found lying dead on top of the bed. The deceased sustained multiple stab wounds to the chest. He was certified dead on the scene by the paramedics.”
Sibiya says no one has been arrested in connection with the murder and the police are still searching for the deceased’s brother-in-law who is the suspect.
