Pens and books down all for a good cause at college

College supports the WAS Foundation with food and blanket donations.

UniCollege students and staff members came together recently to make a meaningful impact on the Krugersdorp community by supporting the We’re Against Starvation (WAS) Foundation.

This was in celebration of Mandela Month and formed part of the UniCollege social responsibility drive, said the institution’s campus manager, Jackie Loots.

“Many students generously contributed food and blankets providing essential supplies to those in need. Additionally, the school made a significant food donation to further support the cause. The school’s involvement extended beyond donations. Both students and staff eagerly participated in dishing up and handing out food, directly engaging with the community and experiencing the profound impact of their contributions. This hands-on involvement highlighted the institution’s dedication to fostering a culture of compassion and active citizenship.”
