Santa Run fun with biking community

This year's Santa Run in Aureus promises to be bigger and better than ever before and the public can help make a difference.

The West Rand Biking Association (WRBA) plans on hosting yet another Santa Run this festive season.

According to event organiser JP du Toit, this year’s Santa Run will be bigger and better and will take place at 14 Toyota Street in Aureus on October 27.

JP explained the WRBA involves a group of volunteers who want to engage with the community and make a positive impact, especially on underprivileged children.

“We offer donations to children which include the distribution of toys, children’s necessities, toiletries and hygiene products. Since Christmas is approaching, the organisation appeals to the public for donations,” JP said.

He added any sort of toys, necessities and hygiene products are welcomed. The age group for the donations are limited between three and 17-year-olds.

“By holding the outreach annually, we can sustain our momentum of giving to underprivileged children as well as achieving success in bringing the community together during a special time. I believe it also inspires people to be more involved,” JP said.

The WRBA warmly invites residents and local businesses to join the initiative.

“Do not be afraid to come and be a part of this wonderful journey. Your participation, whether big or small, can bring a smile to a child’s face and joy to their heart. Together, let’s make a difference in our community! Join us in spreading love, kindness and hope. Let’s show our children that we care and are here to support them,” JP expressed.

Anyone willing to join or make a donation can contact the WRBA on 083 412 2541 or send an email to jpdutoithome2@gmail.com.
