The aim is to allow members of various communities to gain new job skills and personal learning.

Then, driven by an increased number of people transitioning into technical roles, the cost-free course aims to help people learn foundational skills and relevant hard and soft skills needed for in-demand and tech-enabled jobs.

Mogale City’s communication officer Refilwe Mahlangu confirmed that there are various online fields of study to choose from such as fibre security awareness, creative economy, freelancing, career essentials in generative artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship, and more.

Mogale City Library Services further encouraged residents to register and enrol by visiting www.mentecs2.co.za.

All you need is a smartphone, tablet, or computer connected to the internet.

“Interested community members that do not have access to any of the devices mentioned above are welcome to visit any of our 16 Mogale City libraries to be assisted while those with access to devices and data can start the online registration process and self-place for at least two courses.
