Amusing atmosphere at Bastion Buffelfees

Scores of Hoërskool Bastion learners, teachers, and parents made their way to the school premises recently for this year's Bastion Buffelfees.

It was a jolly affair in the hot sun at Hoërskool Bastion recently as the community arrived in big numbers to attend the school’s Bastion Buffelfees.

It was an amusing occasion where festivalgoers, which included teachers, learners and parents, were able to quench their thirst with a cold refreshment and satisfy their taste buds with some delicious food.

There were also various stalls on offer selling a variety of items containing art, literature even fashion – a little something for everyone.

The festival also had a line-up of top-tier performers who bedazzled the audience with their music. The line-up would include Rooksein, Simone Carstens, Altus Theart, Neil Somers, Dwayne Griffen, Tanya V, Nikotien and Marno van der Merwe.

To make the day more incredible, all who attended would stay behind to watch the fantastic Rugby World Cup semi-final between the Springboks and England which was a nail-biting affair. Festivalgoers were all in good spirits and many were seen wearing the iconic green and gold jersey in support of Siya and his men in France.
