According to Kagiso Police spokesperson Captain Solomon Sibiya, they received information about a man who passed away on arrival at the hospital in December last year. He said the man had sustained severe head injuries and was taken to hospital by paramedics after finding the victim lying next to the road in Extension 13.

Police opened a case of murder and started their investigation. They then learned from reliable sources that a 38-year-old man allegedly assaulted the man with a blunt object in the early hours of December 17 and then just left him in the street unconscious.
