Monument Primary learners excel in hockey
From various inter-provincial hockey tournaments to festivals – Monument Primary is proud of all their hockey players who have shown their mettle.
Monument Primary is extremely proud of all their learners who were selected to represent or have represented their province at various inter-provincial hockey tournaments and festivals.
This includes the U/12 and U/13 boys and girls who were members of the district hockey teams (silver scroll).
Lia Swanepoel, Naomi Kouassi, Leungo Ratshidi and Zanokhule Witbooi were part of the U/12 girls hockey team that finished in 10th place in their tournament. Jason du Preez, Lufuno Mokgothu, Adam Brown, Natahan Liebenberg, Nathan Kuun, Zachary De Gouveia, Zipho Mkhontwana and Jeriah Fisher were part of the U/12 boys hockey team that finished seventh in their tournament.
Keira May, Catherine Balkison and Tanya Daidi were part of the U/13 girls hockey team that finished in fifth place in their tournament while Jesse Blackmore-Reed, Kyran van Heerden, Kgothatso Mokebe and Thuto Molefe formed part of the boys U/13 hockey team that finished in eighth place in their tournament.
Eight of their learners were also included in the provincial hockey teams (gold scroll).
Emily Quinton, Moleboheng Ramafikeng and Hlompho Ngwedi were included in the girls U/13 team that finished unbeaten in the fourth place in their tournament. Gabriel do Santos, Dithapelo Moloadi, Ditebogo Moloadi, Adam Breytenbach and Rofhi Mathabi formed part of the boys U/13 hockey team that finished in the fourth place in their tournament.
