EPR called out to two kidnappings and an attempted murder

According to the report 31 incidents were reported between June 13 and 19, most of them break-ins.

Although break-ins and theft again top the list in the latest EPR Security incident report, two kidnappings and an attempted murder were also reported to this security company.

According to the report 31 incidents were reported between June 13 and 19, most of them break-ins. Five of the eight break-ins took place within the 24 hours between Monday, June 13 at 15:00 and Tuesday, June 14 at 15:00.

Two kidnapping were reported, the first on June 16 on Tom Muller Street in West Village, and the second two days later, June 18 on the R28. One attempted murder was reported in West Village on June 16.

A close second, theft was once again a problem with six incidents being reported; this was followed by four calls of damage to property, three for open doors, two for vehicle theft, and two for trespassing.

One accident, a civil matter and one medical incident were reported to EPR as well. Most of the incidents were reported on Saturday, June 18 and seven of them took place in Krugersdorp. Another six were reported in Noordheuwel and three each were reported in Krugersdorp North and West Village.

Eighteen of the incidents were at residences and another nine at businesses.

According to a post on their Facebook page, EPR Security’s shift boss Ehlers and reaction officer Steyn arrested a man for burglary and theft at a business on Eloff Street on Wednesday June 15, and subsequently handed the man over to the police for further investigation.
