KHS archer breaks indoor record of 13 years
Axel Zuur, a grade 10 learner from KHS was awarded his provincial as well as national colours for archery. He also broke an indoor record recently.
Krugersdorp High School (KHS) Grade 10 learner, Axel Zuur, has been awarded his provincial as well as national colours for archery.
According to KHS marketing director Lauren Jooste-Coetsee, Axel competes in the Junior Male Bowhunter category and has excelled beyond all expectation.
At the end of March Axel participated in the SA National Field competition in Thabazimbi where he placed first. He then competed in the African Regional Field Competition in which representatives from South Africa, Namibia and Zambia competed. Axel did superbly and won his category.
“Then on May 14 and 15, Axel competed at the SA Indoor Nationals held in Pretoria, winning the event and breaking the SA Two-Day Indoor record that has been standing for the past 13 years.”
