The Thusong Youth Network has an exciting opportunity for the youth of Mogale City. They are offering free training to 300 young people.

Diobetse Mafojane, the organisation’s centre administrator explained how their organisation started.

“It all started with Austin Dzapazi, who was a science and math teacher for matric learners in Munsieville.” Austin saw the need for more training in life skills, intervention, referrals and advice, and this urged him to start the Thusong Youth Network in 2004.

They are asking those between the ages of 18 and 35 to register with them for training. Some of the main courses they are offering are welding, computer literacy and life skills.

The organisation has received sponsorship from the Department of Social Development and will train 300 youths between April 2021 and March 2022 in batches of 75 people. They want to focus on youths from Burgershoop, Munsieville, Krugersdorp CBD, West Village and Boltonia.

The training is free and those who want to register can contact Diobetse on 071 883 1146 or Tebogo Moloi on 081 327 8077.
