How to become a member of your CPF sector

Don't be caught off guard in the event of an emergency. Keep these CPF numbers close during the festive season.

The Community Policing Forum (CPF) is a place where community members work closely with the South African Police and their representatives to help reduce crime in their community and create a better life for all.

The Krugersdorp CPF is a community crime-oriented organisation and focuses mainly on crime and emergencies. You do not have to be a member to call on them for help; however, they still want you to join.

So how do you become a member of your CPF sector?

You can contact the Public Relations Officers of the sector you live in and they will provide you with an application form.

They will then discuss the joining and monthly fees, and the option to get a radio, and provide you with all the necessary emergency numbers and info you need.

Becoming a member does not automatically mean that you will have to start roaming the streets or respond to emergencies. The people who do this are called the CPF patrollers, and these patrollers are all volunteers and trained to assist where needed.

So why not become a member today?

The festive season is here and the News thought it would be a good idea to have this list of contact numbers close by.
