#KrugersdorpMurders sentencing – Judge says it’s the worst case he has presided over in 18 years

Today the last remaining three will hear their fate.

The last remaining three accused in the Krugersdorp murders trial, Zak Valentine, Cecilia Steyn and Marcel Steyn are back in court today to hear their fate.

Judge Ellem Jacob Francis will deliver their sentences today and is currently summarising the whole ordeal, saying it’s the worst case he has presided over in his 18 years as a judge.

He said he found it shocking that the group, who dubbed themselves Electus per Deus, which is Latin for ‘chosen by God’, said they were Christians.

“They should have rather called themselves Elected by Lucifer,” he said.

The courtroom in the South Gauteng High Court is filled to the brim with family members, media and followers of this case.

The News will keep readers informed as sentencing takes place.
