Kagiso Police raise awareness of gender-based crime

The Kagiso Police recently handed out pamphlets and spoke to the community about gender-based crimes.

Kagiso Police’s Social Crime Prevention team recently visited the Tshepisong Clinic.

They were accompanied by the Youth Desk and Victim Empowerment Programme members.

“The aim of the visit was to address gender-based violence as well as alcohol and substance abuse. These two issues normally lead to contact- and property-related crimes,” said a statement made by the Kagiso Police.

They also distributed about 83 pamphlets relating to domestic violence in and around the clinic.
