[WATCH] Breaststroker taking on Lake Malawi
A gruelling 581 kilometres in 45 to 60 days ... all in the name of charity (and a Guinness World Record too).
Krugersdorper Martin Hobbs, 45, will attempt to swim a gruelling 581 kilometres in 45 to 60 days.
Why, you ask? All in the name of charity – The Smile Foundation – and to become a Guinness World Record holder. And to make things a bit harder, Martin will be swimming the distance breaststroke.
News editor Janine Viljoen spoke to Martin shortly before one of his training sessions at Lake Heritage at the Cradle Moon Lodge in Muldersdrift.
