In the last couple of months, you might have picked up on one or two changes when paging through the News.

They’re subtle yet effective changes which just add to your reading pleasure … I hope!

Why these changes? Maybe because we live in a world where fresh local news is sometimes over-exposed on social media. The information can be often misleading, leaving the reader with more questions than answers.

The News team therefore decided to shift focus a little, especially when it comes to what you will find in the printed version.

Don’t get me wrong, you will always find up-to-the-minute reports on our website, but for the newspaper, things might seem a little different.

The reason might be quite obvious to us, but perhaps you, as a loyal reader, can’t see why the changes are necessary. It’s simple – we’re trying to iron out the deadline glitches for you by focusing on content specifically written for the newspaper.

So, whenever you see this label (see image), you will know this article was meant for your eyes only, dear reader, and you will not find it on our website. But if you do – because, let’s face it – we also make mistakes, please inform us about it.

We strive to always give you the latest attention-grabbing news from the very heart of Krugersdorp and have our readers to thank for contributing to this goal. We also have to thank our valued readers for giving us the benefit of the doubt when we report on urgent matters, as errors can creep in. Your input is highly appreciated.

Until next week, take care, Krugersdorp.
