GRAPHIC IMAGES: Road of death claims another life
Man burns to death inside his car on the notorious R41 road.
Yet another accident claimed a life on the R41 road on Friday, 16 September in Kagiso.
A driver of a VW Golf was travelling from Randfontein towards Kagiso when it collided with an Audi A4 that was travelling in the opposite direction. The front of the Golf caught fire and the life of the driver who was trapped inside, could not be saved.
The Audi had five occupants who were rushed to hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Paramedics attended to the injured occupants on the scene, saving five people who escaped burning inside the Audi.
The cause of the accident was not known but police were on scene to investigate.
