‘What did I do for fun?’

'I baked...'

The residents of La Reynette Centre, a residential frail care centre, were treated to homemade treats on Saturday.

Local ward councillor, Jacqueline Pannall, accompanied by other members of the local Democratic Alliance visited the centre as part of their 67 minutes for Mandela Day initiative.

“I usually do this at Moria Old Age Home during Women’s month, but since I will not be the ward councillor at that time, I decided to do it here instead, as part of my 67 minutes. This will also serve as my farewell,” Jacqueline said.

The elderly were treated to homemade cupcakes and savoury treats, all baked by Jacqueline.
