Body found between graves
A half-naked woman was found at the cemetery, brutally murdered.
The body of a half-naked woman was discovered at the Burgershoop Cemetery in Krugersdorp West last week.
It is believed that cleaners discovered the body at around 5.50am laying between the graves at the cemetery which is situated on the corner of Halgryn and Luipaard Streets on 8 January.
“Krugersdorp police were deployed to the scene and found the body in a pool of blood. The victim sustained head injuries and it seemed as if she was hit with a large object on the head,” Krugersdorp Police spokesperson, Sergeant Tshepiso Mashale said.
The victim was identified by some of her friends on the scene.
“We are appealing to anyone who has any information regarding this murder to contact us. We want to assure the residents that all information received will be followed up and it will also be treated with the necessary anonymity,” Mashale concluded.
