Just when motorists thought that rush hour morning traffic was slowing down, an overturned truck on Paardekraal Drive caused many delays.

A fleet of police vehicles, Mogale City’s Traffic Department, Netcare 911 paramedics and members of Sector 4’s Community Policing Forum rushed to the scene to help assist and get traffic flowing again.

It is believed the truck was travelling along Voortrekker Road towards the Paardekraal Drive intersection. While turning into the left hand-side slipway, the truck scraped the taxi which was stationed in the left hand-side lane causing the truck to overturn and come to a standstill on the island of the road a few metres away.

Paramedics treated the driver of the truck who was later transported to a nearby hospital to receive further medical treatment.
