No water for 24 hours?

City's water and sanitation service provider is planning a water disruption on 17 November from 6am to 6am on 18 November.

The City of Johannesburg has issued a media statement saying that parts of Joburg and Mogale City will be without water for at least 24 hours.

The statement says that the City’s water and sanitation service provider is planning a water disruption, on 17 November from 6am to 6am on 18 November, in a few of its suburbs and informal settlements which include parts of Lanseria.

Since Mogale City does not get its water from Joburg Water (JW), but instead from Rand Water, the News decided to contact Mogale City’s municipal spokesperson Nkosana Zali about the statement.

Zali said that Mogale City’s water department is not aware of the disruption and that they are in talks with JW and that if there are parts of Mogale City affected by the disruption, residents will be duly informed.
