BREAKING: Cops allegedly caught shoplifting at mall

Two cops were caught shoplifting, in uniform, at Cradlestone Mall.

Two police officers were arrested at Cradlestone Mall after allegedly being caught stealing red-handed.

The two female police officers, one a warrant officer and the other a constable, allegedly were caught stealing accessories from the Vodacom shop in Cradlestone on 19 August.

It is believed the two quickly called for back-up by higher-ranking officers from the Krugersdorp Police Station minutes after allegedly being caught stealing.

Staff members of the shop along with the owner told the News the police not only tried to bribe them but also started intimidating and later threatening them after their first attempts failed miserably.

Staff members who witnessed everything alleged the two members operate like professional thieves.

Shockingly the two alleged corrupt officers were dressed in full uniform with their ranks displayed on their epaulettes.

They allegedly were found with cellphone accessories to the value of R1 149 in their possession.

Both the alleged corrupt officers were arrested by the Muldersdrift Police and taken into custody.

A case of theft and intimidation was opened against the two.
