Lovers’ quarrel leads to murder

A man is expected to make an appearance in court after allegedly stabbing his girlfriend to death.

A 55-year-old man was arrested for allegedly stabbing his girlfriend to death on Monday 22 June at a plot in Vlakplaats, Tarlton.

Constable Lucky Matome, a police spokesperson said it is alleged the suspect and the woman had a quarrel, which led to the killing.

“The woman was found with multiple stab wounds to her head. Paramedics declared her dead at the scene.”

Sibiya said police investigated, which led them to the suspect. He is expected to make a brief appearance in the Krugersdorp Magistrates’ Court soon.
