Making headlines for the second week is the fatal lion attack at the Lion Park.

Everyone is talking about it and more gruesome details have emerged from that fateful day.

There are two definite sides to this story, one being the fact that the woman who died did not obey the rules and the other being that the lion needs to be put down.

My question is, why?

Why punish something for doing what nature intended it to do?

No matter how many experts weigh in on this matter and how many people describe what happened, fact of the matter is, when you are entering an area you are not familiar with, stick to the rules.

The argument that rules are meant to be broken does not apply here at all. Those rules are meant to protect you.

Yes the situation is quite a sad one and pointing fingers will not help.

Let’s not forget why this woman died, it should be a lesson to us all.

Obey the rules Krugersdorp; it’s as simple as that
