Five suspicious occupants in a stolen vehicle led to another success for Krugersdorp Police.
The police sector vehicle was patrolling the streets of Krugersdorp CBD when they noticed a suspicious-looking vehicle with five occupants parked on the side of the road . Following a hunch, the police officers approached the suspects and searched the vehicle.
Police also noticed the registration number and the licence disc number did not correspond.
An enquiry about the engine number revealed the vehicle had been reported stolen in Khayelitsha in the Western Cape.
According to Constable Tshepiso Mashale, the suspects were arrested and taken to the Krugersdorp Police Station.
They are due to appear in the Krugersdorp Magistrates’ Court on a count of possession of a stolen vehicle.
