Bakkie in flames: driver and passenger not harmed
The driver and his passenger who were travelling in the bakkie before it started to burn, is doing fine.
The news has received new information about the bakkie that mysteriously burst into flames on the R28 towards Krugersdorp yesterday.
Jeannè van Wyngaarden Lindhout was on her way to work in Randfontein when she passed the bakkie that was going up in smoke.
Being a journalist her instincts immediately kicked in and she pulled over to investigate the situation.
The driver and his passenger were travelling in the bakkie along the R28 past Silverstar when they noticed smoke puffing out of the bonnet.
The passenger and driver climbed out of the bakkie to see what the smoke was all about when the bakkie went up in flames.
Within minutes local emergency services personal arrived on the scene and assisted in redirecting the traffic and extinguishing the fire.
The news is happy to report that no one was hurt in this incident.
