Is this now a regular occurrence?

John Brady from Krugersdorp writes:

Apparently there was an event next to the lake at Coronation Park on 26 and 27 September.

The music noise levels were so load that it could be heard inside a house in Noordheuwel, a direct-line distance of 1,85km!

Additionally, the noise continued until midnight Friday and 2.15am on Sunday morning.

These surely are violations of local bylaws both in terms of the times and noise pollution.

Presumably, a permit of some sort was issued to hold this event?

If so, we need to find out how and by whom the permit was issued and whether the conditions of the permit, if any, permitted clear violation of local bylaws.

I will investigate further through our local councillor and research the applicable bylaws; but the bottom line is that a permit cannot be issued for illegal activities.

Is this now to be a regular occurrence?
