Our needs are not always the most important

On Women’s Day I had the opportunity to talk to Derrich Gardener on his RSG (Radio Sonder Grense) show Breakfast with Derrich.
What a great experience!

The opportunity was given to me to speak about the community project the news embarked on about two months ago.
Even though the feedback for the project was not great, I realised that there is so much need in Krugersdorp, it is sometimes impossible to always find help.

Last week we learned that the white squatters in Coronation Caravan Park will be relocated to Munsieville.
What makes their needs more important than others? Nothing really, because each one of us interpret need in our own way.

I needed to give my message over to Derrich’s listeners and hope that somewhere someone will answer my need.
But until then, I am going to try and satisfy my own needs because I am the only one responsible for them.

Maybe it is something we all should start to think about, Krugersdorp.
