A cash-in-transit (CIT) vehicle was attacked by assailants in three vehicles this morning in Kagiso.
According to various reports on Facebook, the CIT vehicle was rammed, which subsequently caused an explosion that sent cash flying through the air, and leaving another vehicle in flames.

In a video posted on Facebook, scores of people can been seen rushing to the scene trying to get their hands on some of the money before the authorities arrived.

Suburban Control posted on their Facebook page that suspects where seen in a white BMW 330, a white Audi A4 and a white BMW X5.
It is not clear if they managed to get away with any money, or if the burning vehicle belonged to them.
The scene is currently closed off and the News will publish a follow-up once police have released more information.
