Four dead after collision with truck near Magaliesburg

A collision on the R509 between Derby and Magaliesburg claimed four lives on the morning of 10 December. A fifth person sustained minor injuries.

ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene just before midday to find one vehicle off the roadway with all four occupants having sustained fatal injuries and were declared dead at the scene.

A truck was also found off the roadway on its roof. The truck driver was assessed and was found to have only sustained minor injuries. The truck driver was transported to hospital for further care.
