[JUST IN] Women hear gunshots and find friend dead
"It is alleged that the women fled, running in different directions. They heard the sound of gunshots."
The Krugersdorp Police are investigating a case of murder which occurred next to the Lanwen Railway Station on Monday, 19 March.
Sergeant Tshepiso Mashele, spokesperson for the Krugersdorp Police, said five women were walking through the open veld towards the station when they were allegedly accosted by three unknown male suspects.

“The women allegedly fled through the veld, running in different directions. They heard the sound of gunshots and later found one of their friends dead,” said Mashele.
“The Krugersdorp Police are saddened by these senseless crimes against humanity. Our crime prevention members are sensitised daily to do patrols in the area for the safety of our community,” said Brigadier Mashao, station commander at the Krugersdorp Police Station.
