DC of the week: Suspects use toy gun to rob victims

Upon further investigation, police found dagga and drugs in their possession and arrested the suspects.

Krugersdorp Police members arrested four suspects in Munsieville on Thursday, 9 February after they had allegedly used a toy gun to commit multiple crimes in the area.

Krugersdorp Police received an anonymous call from a concerned Munsieville community member regarding a group of suspects who were terrorising them with a firearm.

Police members went to the given address where they discovered the four suspects in a house. Upon further investigation, police found dagga and drugs in their possession and arrested them. They were also found in possession of a toy gun, which is believed to have been used in committing crime in the area.

Brigadier Baloyi, commander of Krugersdorp Police Station extended his appreciation towards community members who provide valid information to the police that assist them to curb criminal activities around Krugersdorp.

“The police continue doing everything possible to follow up on information to ensure the safety of our people,” said Baloyi.

All the suspects will appear in the Krugersdorp Magistrates’ Court soon.
