Gymnasts excel in competitions
Fifty-four gymnasts were awarded Gauteng colours.
The Impala Gymnastics and Tumbling team had a very successful year, with 54 gymnasts receiving Gauteng colours.
Four of the gymnasts competed at the senior Nationals, and 39 competed at the North Zone Festival in Kempton Park.
Marine Lombard was named the overall champion of her section, while Riette Wilson and Danel Fourie placed second in their respective sections.
Fifteen gymnasts will be going to Cape Town next month to compete in the South African Gymnastic Games, after which they will begin training for next year’s gymnastics season.
