Victim points out stolen property

A 26-year-old suspect has been arrested after a stolen TV was identified and recovered.

Hekpoort Police have nabbed a male suspect following a housebreaking and theft incident earlier this year.

“A 26-year-old male was arrested on Monday 11 July at about 2.30pm,” said Hekpoort Police spokesperson, Constable Gloria Maswanganye.

The complainant alleged that his house was broken into in May some time between 8am and 8pm that day.

“The complainant alleges that when he returned home that night he noticed his flat screen TV was missing and his house’s windows were broken.”

Detective Qoboza and his team followed up on information and tracked down the suspect.

The suspect took the investigator to the place where he allegedly sold the television where the complainant identified the television as his.

The suspect has been arrested and will appear in court soon.
