Woman arrested for stolen luxury vehicle

A 51-year-old woman was caught with a stolen luxury vehicle in Kenmare.

Police have arrested a 51-year-old woman for being in possession of a stolen vehicle.

The arrest follows after Constables Mmuso and Gaserotse noticed a suspicious-looking occupant in a Mercedes-Benz in Deal Street in Kenmare last week.

They acted swiftly on their suspicion when the woman climbed out of the vehicle. “Investigations on scene revealed that there was no registration plate on the front of the vehicle and further inquiries indicated that the vehicle had been reported stolen in Sunnyside, Pretoria,” Krugersdorp Police spokesperson, Sergeant Tshepiso Mashale confirmed.

The woman was arrested and detained at the Krugersdorp Police station. and will appear in court soon.

The Krugersdorp Station Commander, Brigadier Baloyi applauded the members for following their instincts.
