Another broker’s body found in car’s boot

A distraught father watched how his son's body was removed from the boot of his car.

The body of a 29-year-old man was discovered in a black bag in the boot of his car late last night in Sivewright Street, near Krugersdorp’s CBD.

This incident follows the discovery about three weeks ago of the body of an elderly man in the boot of his car which was parked in Krugersdorp North.

Both victims were insurance brokers.

Last night’s victim allegedly had an appointment with a prospective client. When he did not return home last night, his family became worried and tracked his vehicle to Sivewright Street. They discovered his body, in a black bag, in the boot of his silver BMW at about 11pm.

Patrollers from the Sector 4 Community Policing Forum closed off the scene with the help of an EPR reaction unit, and made way for police.

At the scene the News met the victim’s weeping father after he’d identified the body. He was later joined by other family members.

Emotions ran high as the forensics team arrived and the young man’s body was removed from the boot of the car and placed under a silver blanket.

The identity of the young man is known to the News who verified details with the grieving father on the scene.

The young man leaves behind his family, and a pregnant wife with whom he would have celebrated his first wedding anniversary this weekend.

Police believe the murder of the 29-year-old man may be linked to the Krugersdorp North incident three weeks ago.

The News is awaiting official comment from police.
