Four armed men are on the loose after shooting at an elderly couple in Muldersdrift, police said.
On Saturday night (2 April) the armed suspects forcefully entered the couple’s home and shot at them.
“The couple was sitting in their living room when, without saying a word, the suspects started shooting and tormenting them,” police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Hitler Ngwenya, said.
The 62-year-old woman sustained injuries on her upper body and her 73-year-old husband on his upper left leg. Both police and emergency medical services were on scene shortly after the incident.
The suspects fled the couple’s home on foot with numerous electrical appliances and cell phones.
