Drug bust sniffs out unlisensed firearm
Sector members and the K9 Unit discovered a weapon and drugs.
A group of Sector 9 Community Policing Forum members along with the police’s K9 Unit responded to a tip-off by a community member about suspicious activity at a house in Mindalore.
On Saturday morning, 23 January, a little over one kilogramme of drugs and an unlicensed firearm were discovered at the house.
This was the first time this particular house was searched by the CPF and police.
Two men were arrested on the scene and will appear in court during the week.
Over the festive season, Sector 9 CPF members also burnt down a dagga plantation in Mindalore in an attempt to prevent more drug use in the area.
