Man dies of heart attack; crashes into pavement

A tragic scene played out on Robert Broom Drive in rush hour traffic.

Motorists and residents curiously looked on in afternoon traffic as paramedics tend to a man who drove his vehicle into a pavement.

An elderly man was found dead in his vehicle on Robert Broom Drive after he allegedly had a heart attach while driving, resulting in him losing control of his vehicle and crashing into a pavement at the entrance of Sugerbush Estate in Rangeview on 11 November at around 5pm.

Netcare 911 and ER 24 paramedics rushed to the scene where the man was declared dead shortly thereafter.

Sector 7 CPF members were deployed to the scene to assist Mogale City’s Traffic Department to control the traffic flow and contain the scene.

The Krugersdorp police were also called to the scene.

CPF 7 would like to express their condolences to the family of the elderly man who passed away. Furthermore they would like to thank the paramedics for their professional work ethic.
