Tarlton police shows no mercy as they arrest 16 suspects in one weekend.

Two of the 16 suspects were arrested for being in possession of stolen goods.

Police were conducting their routine patrols around Seroba informal settlement when they spotted two males carrying something that seemed to be heavy.

After investigation and searching the suspects police established the heavy object was a steel water pump.

Both suspects failed to give a satisfactory explanation about where they got the water pump.

In other incidents, 14 suspects were arrested for a variety of crimes ranging from malicious damage to property, driving under the influence of alcohol, interfering with police duties and minor offences such as loitering for the purpose of prostitution.

Most of these suspects have already made a brief appearances in court.

“The Station Commander of Tarlton police, Lieutenant Colonel AM Molefi expressed his gratitude for the successes and applauded the members for their hard work and dedication,” Tarlton police spokesperson constable Lucky Matome said.
