A 42-year-old man was arrested for home and business robbery. Two other suspects in the case are on the run.
“The complainant alleged he and his employee were in his tuck shop when three males entered and pointed a firearm at him, demanding money,” said Constable Lucky Matome, police spokesperson.
The complainant added his employee also was assaulted during the robbery and an undisclosed amount of money was taken. The suspects then went to the house on the same property and stole three cellphones.
The 42-year-old is expected to appear in the Krugersdorp Magistrates’ Court soon.
Lieutenant Colonel Molefi, Station Commander at Tarlton Police applauded the officers for this arrest, and said police are looking for the other two men.
“We want to arrest them before they commit another crime,” Matome said.
