A man was found in a ditch near Robert Broom Drive in Munsieville in the early hours of yesterday morning.
“ER24 paramedics as well as Fire and Rescue Services found the man lying in the ditch several metres deep,” Chitra Bodasing, ER24 spokesperson said.
The paramedics went down the ditch and found the man had sustained multiple injuries, including stab wounds.
“He appeared to have been beaten as well,” she said.
According to paramedics who started his treatment, he was in a critical condition.
ER24 Joburg West and the ER24 Rescue Vehicle paramedics with the assistance of Fire and Rescue Services and Life Flora paramedics brought the man back up to road level.
He was transported to hospital for further medical care.
Authorities were on scene to investigate further.
