A well-known drug dealer in Krugersdorp West was arrested following the discovery of Ecstasy, Cat and Crystal Meth.

A tip-off by a member of the community led police and local Community Policing Forum (CPF) members to a drug jackpot in Krugersdorp West.

Late last night, 7 September, members of the Sector 5 CPF along with police were called to help evict foreign nationals who were squatting on a property in Beyers Street.

At the eviction, the patrollers and police found a known drug dealer and other illegal occupants in the house.

The drug dealer carelessly left empty plastic packets containing Ecstasy pills on the TV stand along with a mini electronic scale.

Patrollers immediately gave chase and arrested him a few blocks away on the corner of Van Wyk and Herbert Streets and was handed over to the police and detained at the Krugersdorp police station.

While searching the drug dealer’s vehicle, police made a shocking discovery of thousands of rands worth of drugs hidden in the cubbyhole.

Police managed to confiscate a total of 28 Ecstasy pills and 75 packets of Cat/ Crystal Meth along with a undisclosed amount of uncut Cat/ Crystal Meth.

The drug dealer is well-known in the Krugersdorp West area and goes by the name of Sunday Iyoke.
