CPF Exco elect to work hand-in-hand with police

The persons elected into their respective positions will be able to make a difference in the Krugersdorp community for the next five years.

The Krugersdorp Cluster Community Policing Forum (CPF), who are the eyes and ears of the police, have recently re-elected six Exco members.

Altogether 41 members of Krugersdorp’s various CPF sectors were present. They were eligible to either stand for one of the six available positions or nominated a member and vote in the elections.

The persons elected into their respective positions will then be able to make a difference in the Krugersdorp community as Exco members for the next five years.

Gert said the Cluster CPF has a few initiatives that they will be focusing on this year such as the continuation of the Drugs and Prostitution Task Team, which is in collaboration with the police.

Another project is the supplying of anti-drug bumper stickers which have the details of the anonymous stop drugs report line number 083 399 4544 and faster access to emergency medical care by Netcare 911 and ER24.

The Krugersdorp CPF currently has over 3 000 users who own a two-way radio and about 500 voluntary patrollers who provide civilian oversight during police operations and assist at crime and accident scenes.
