Teddy fun in the sun

Neigbours living in an estate came together to raise funds for the Teddy Bear Foundation.

Neighbours living in an estate in Krugersdorp came together for fun in the sun in aid of a good cause.

The fun day kicked off early in the morning with a fun run in and around the Ruimsig Country Estate grounds.

Following the fun run, parents and children met at the park for more fun and games.

Two camels provided an exciting experience for the children as they rode through the park. Stalls of different businesses and local entrepreneurs were at the fun day to support the fundraising event in aid of the Teddy Bear Foundation.

The Teddy Bear Foundation is part of a non profit organisation which assists abused children.

At the gate of the estate a life size teddy bear welcomed guests. The entrance fee to the fun day was a teddy bear that was donated to the Teddy Bear Foundation.

The day’s proceedings included a prize giveaway, children jumping on castles and family indulging in quality family time.

“Sponsors of the fun day played an important role in making this day a success,”says Sharon Palos, Estate Manager.

A special visit by members of the police’s K9 Unit, who also supported the day, did a small presentation.

“A big thank you goes to all who were involved. We plan on doing more of these days in the near future.”
