Hekpoort police successfully arrested two suspects aged between 19 and 31 for allegedly being in possession of suspected stolen property.
The police said they received information from a community member who informed them where the stolen property could be hidden.
Constable Gloria Maswanganye, a police spokesperson said police then went to the place where they first found the 19-year-old suspect where after police interrogated him until he told them that it was hidden inside his friend’s shack.
“The police together with the suspect went to this suspect where after the police was taken to another shack where they found the stolen goods consisting of a home theater system, portable compact CD player, coolerbag, batteries and a solar panel.”
She said the suspects made a brief appearance in the Krugersdorp Magistrates’ Court facing charges of being in possession of suspected stolen goods.
