The Grade 1 pupils of Maragon Avianto School in Muldersdrift kicked off the new school year in a brand-new school.
The school officially opened its doors for the first time on 13 January and the children were all smiles as their teacher welcomed them and explained the rules and regulations.
“We are very excited about the smiling faces of all the new pupils as they arrive for their first day of school. I am looking forward to this exciting new journey that is Maragon Avianto,” says Monica de Beer, who started her first day as school principal.
The Grade 1s also shared in a special moment when they witnessed the school bell being rung for the very first time.
