Rape and assault suspects wanted

The complainant and her boyfriend was walking down a street in Kagiso when they were attacked by two unknown men.

The Kagiso Police is asking members of the public to assist them with information that will lead to the arrest of two suspects.

On 18 January at about 2.10am the complainant and her boyfriend was walking down Kutlwanong Street in central Kagiso when they were attacked by a group of young men.

Warrant Officer Solomon Sibiya says that the suspects started assaulting the complainant’s boyfriend, then grabbed her and took her to an unknown location.

“The first suspect later raped the complainant in an open field,” says Sibiya.

He is presumed to be around 24-years-old, about 1,6 metres tall, medium brown in complexion and slenderly built. At the time of the crime he was wearing a blue top with blue denim pants and a white cap, and was speaking Tswana.

The second suspect, says Sibiya, who participated in assaulting the complainant’s boyfriend is around 26-years-old, dark brown in complexion, about 1,6 metres tall, well built and has an old scar underneath his right eye. He too was speaking Tswana.
